Wednesday, October 05, 2005 Sweet worker loves politician before a weaver and old man (5,6) Now that I've got your attention, let me explain my somewhat unusual heading. The above phrase was actually a clue in a cryptic crossword that several colleagues and myself were doing on a quiet Friday afternoon. The answer (and how the answer was achieved) is in the Comments section of this entry, so as not to spoil anyone/-thing. Besides cryptic crosswords, I have been up to quite a lot! As some may know, I ceclebrated my 23rd birthday in late September and I had a great time in doing so. As Sim can attest, my birthday celebrations were second only to the Chinese New Year in terms of length of celebrations. These festivities included:
I'm extremely lucky to be surrounded by such lovely, warm, kind people who love and care for me and help me celebrate those things which should be celebrated in life, such as my birthday. I can never forget that and thank you to those that made it so special for me. I had a great time at my birthday parties (plural!) and will make that sweet potato, potato, pumpkin frittata again - I couldn't believe how fast it went! YUMMMM Ooooh, Erica - you'll be interested to know I made a delicious pear and almond cake with passionfruit glaze on the weekend. It was so easy and was to die for! *Yes, that's right! I have a new job. From Monday 10th October I will no longer be in Education, but rather the Information Centre and it is all very exciting. Sim also will be moving roles in the near future. Excitement for everyone, then!! :) Last week I went to see Garbage play at The Forum with one of my uni friends, Adele. It was a FANTASTIC gig. Highlights for me were Vow, Push It and Cherry Lips (Go Baby Go). I sang each and every word for these three songs (and countless others!) and had a great time doing so. The venue was great and I had an awesome time. The 2-tix-for-1 deal was great too. Cheers, Adele for the heads up and the invite!! I think that's all the news I have at the minute. Oh, no it's not. I'm almost up to reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which Sim got me for my birthday (thanks, Sim. You're the best!) . YAY!!!!
