RADIOHEAD LIVE 26th April 2004, 8pm Rod Laver Arena!

That's right. Shane, Lumley and I went to Radiohead! Oh yeah, baby!!
What a night it was....

Started out with some nice live Radiohead tunes in Lumley's car, then a spot of Macca's, hearing John Mayer's really awesome version of Kid A, a great live piano (!) version of Like Spinning Plates, then the concert spectacular itself!!

The support act was Bumblebeez and I don't know where they were from, but they didn't really do it for me at all. Was more noise than anything, with the exception of one or two tracks.

The crowd was going nuts for the most part, with several rather enthused and excited fans in front of us remaining seated but still moving their bodies wildly to the music. It was pretty cool that they were getting so into it!!

Ayway, here's the setlist:
01 there there
02 2+2=5
03 lucky
04 myxomatosis
05 where i end and you begin
06 backdrifts
07 pyramid song
08 go to sleep
09 my iron lung
10 the gloaming
11 talk show host
12 exit music
13 sit down. stand up
14 paranoid android
15 national anthem
16 no surprises
17 idioteque

Encore:
18 you and whose army?
19 fake plastic trees
20 planet telex
21 everything in its right place (with a line from fog sampled)

As you can see, it was a mix of old and new stuff and it just ROCKED!!!
The whole thing was so awesome, the music, the lighting, the vibe. I loved it.
The highlight for me would've been You and Whose Army? when Thom came out in the first encore and put his hand over his mouth, muffling his voice, looking intently and sideways into the camera in this EXTREME close-up view. He was playing with the audience and gesturing for us to 'come on, come on'... It was soooooo funny. I was pissing myself. That was probably the highlight, followed by the dead silence of the crowd (and probable awe) when No Surprises was played.

The whole night was really cool, with a blend of quiet stuff and harder more rocky music. Was just fantastic.
