Sunday, April 04, 2004 The Butterfly Effect Wow. I am flabbergasted. Just got back from seeing The Butterfly Effect with Shane and Lib and it was sooooo fantastic!! Just brilliant! I thought the storyline was so well written, conceived and executed. The acting was top-notch with a really solid performance from Kutcher and the lead actress whose name I don't know.... On several occasions, friends had told me how much I would love this movie and they weren't wrong! It was great. Time travel just rocks! It was as if a Star Trek episode's storyline had been whisked into a Hollywood plot to produce this fabulous mix of a good looking lead actor with an excellent sci-fi storyline and a big special effects budget. MAGIC! :) Just one of those movies, along with Good Will Hunting, that when I left the cinema, my view of the world and those around me were forever altered. I feel so lucky to be surrounded by such loving and kind and decent people and to have them in my life. Never forget how lucky you are. Everything that has happened in this world, to you or otherwise, makes up who you are. Michael Jackson could not have said it better when he sang "Every day creates your history". It's so true. It's all a part of us and everything shapes us and makes it who we are. Forever. I know to be grateful for all the good that you have in your life... In other news, I have decided that today, and the weekend in general have been very good. Saw Shrek and half of Dark Crystal (before falling asleep) at Dayna's house last night, when Eug and James popped over there for a video night. Sleeping on couch cushions, in a sleeping bag was quite comfy! Woke up this morning, quick brekkie to the tunes of Video Hits, then off to Camberwell Market for about an hour of serious perusing! I didn't buy anything today, but now have the desire to return there really soon - perhaps THIS Sunday, if anyone else's keen...? There was a shirt there I really liked but the man was being too much of a salesman. I think I'll have to return... :) Simon is in Queensland at the moment and I am missing him so much.
