Sunday, December 28, 2003 Woahhhh.....AJ's blogger layout is COMPLETELY different to mine... he has a post and publish button! This is Erica, speaking from AJ's house, through AJ's blog. I shall use this time to run an short advertising campaign for two of the greatest websites on the net. Bored? Looking for something to stimulate the grey matter? Feel in the mood for some musing, music and madness? Then you can't go past the good times and crazy times of Erica's Blog! There's random writings, quirky poetry, downloadable mp3s and other tidbits for you. Go there...you know you want to! Aimed at teenage girls, Aspire is a site that helps you live out your dreams, reach your goals, and become the best YOU you can be. Although only new in the world of E-Zines, there are articles on topics such as writing better fiction, creating custom t-shirts and boosting your self confidence. Make sure you go, have a surf around and sign up to the forum! Your dreams are waiting... Now, after that shameless stint of self promotion, I shall talk about something different. AJ is currently playing some nice keyboard. He is currently playing "Kissing You", which is a lovely song that was featured in the movie Romeo and Juliet, directed by the very talented Baz Luhrman. AJ has asked me to post a poem I posted on my blog a few days ago, so here it is! Take a peek behind my cryptic lines What do you see? Did I hide a mirror there? I'm sure you see your face And I know you stop to admire Take a listen to your words for once What do you hear? Was that a contradiction? I know for sure there's lying And I'm certain this piece doesn't fit with that Turn your eyes from inside out If you can see past your own vanities Unfold your ears, I don't think you heard me You were too busy listening to the sound of your voice Wring out your hands of the guilt you feel Guilt towards staining your own reputation Hang out your sorries in neat little rows Seems you forgot the pegs - they've all blown away Not that they ever hung where they should have Still they looked pretty...just like you There's that reflection again Couldn't help yourself could you I feel sorry for you and your vanity...
