hey...

have been attempting to change the size of some of those pics on the left there. without success. don't know why. do not possess simon-and-erica-like knowledge of re-sizing images.

wednesday - last german class at melb uni. exam revision. it was good though and we saw a documentary on the Story of English.

thursday - stayed at home and studied [pretty much all day] for those pesky german orals on friday. even simon's call and persistent 'come oooooonnnnnnn's were not enough to free me from the evil panicky clutches that inevitably associate themselves with german orals. there's just something about 'em. you put 9 years of german learning on the line in roughly 12 minutes, thus the nervousness. and topics including 'the head scarf' and 'late motherhood' did not do much to alleviate my angst. ha. that's a german word. in german it means fear....

i hope rutti's going away was cool.
Rutti - fare, well friend. i'm sure i'l see you sometime soon. who knows - perhaps even in malaysia...

friday - 11:00 1st german oral
11:45 2nd german oral. had lunch with sarah thereafter and that was nice, just to chill after all that german. she said i had (past tense) an interesting degree. i agree(d). if anyone had have told me when i started back in 2001 that i would go to china for 3 months and then canberra for 3 months during my degree, i probably would have told them they're dreaming. but it has been truly truly fun, i've made some great friends and have learnt a helluva lot... what does everyone else have to say about the BA?

...listened to radiohead's the bends on train home. bulletproof...i wish i was. worked at the kmart; trained someone in layby so they'll inherit all my bad habits. ...i like shaping people in my image. it's a noble goal, don't you think? there is, however, a little thing called personality which at times presents difficulties in me acheiving my goal. then to ang's/kel's halloween party. my first halloween party. yes, i say that unashamedly. australians do not celebrate an inherently american festivity, such as halloween... it was, however a good night, before everyone left at the exact same minute. i kid you not, there must've been a bad smell that i was not aware of... oh well. at the party, i especially liked the 'evil phone' and the 'evil vase'. some cooky costumes as well.

saturday - went to knox city and bought tickets for george concert on 1 dec. had organised to meet luke and kel at barclay's for breakfast the night before. they were late. tsk tsk tsk. luke - guilt trip, anyone?
had an omelette and experienced post-purchase dissonance or 'food envy' as soon as our meals reached the table. don't you hate that - when you want what they're having? that reminds me of that shampoo ad... 'i'll have what she's having...'
then to home, mucked about, then worked til 6. got home, had some food, watched some futurama. now am talking to you.

i guess that your reading this means something, right?
what, i'm not sure.
but it means something...
