Saturday, September 20, 2003 G'day everyone!!! Wow. Last night's party was much fun. Thankyou to everyone who came. It meant a lot. So many people dressed up. So many presents! So many kind words in cards and in that book that was floating around... In short, so much love... so much love. As per usual, Zimon beat me to a blow-by-blow description of some of the happenings of last night. Good work, Zimon! As he correctly stated, it is my intention to have some of the photos that I develop scanned and then put them on my blog.. Including that one of Simon and I, to which I said "that'll be on the blog"... Yeah, in short an awesome night. So good to see family, work friends, school friends, BA(IS) friends, German friends, Fenner friend in the same room... Really cool. Let's see if I can try and name all the types of costumes were there (I'm going to undoubtedly forget some, so please forgive me... Drinks will do that... i'll try my best.) sailor, senor, senorita, faerie, a VB can, dracula, pirate/s, hippie/s, tragic 80s bridesmaid, movie star, 'avant garde', people with afros, gangster, Bond, Bond Girl, Luke as he would dress up for a Fancy Dress, Geri Halliwell, AJ at the Risk Society party, (was Eug Tina Turner...?), a bogan with an awesome mullet, Wednesday, a pimp and his pro, Agent Smith, a lamb, a Blues Brother, an urban professional... + all those who came as Themselves. I really thought it was funny when Justin Timberlake's Senorita came on and the men/women on the dance floor separated into two groups and sang that bit to each other. Very funny. Definitely a highlight... The speeches were excellent. Thanks to Erica, Joel and Eug for them. They were very well done. I didn't catch the whole Luscious Luke and Lickable Will thing... Perhaps it's for the best. Pretty cool/funny that Lucy recognised my brother in his Taco Shane garb just my his laugh!! We don't laugh the same do we...?
