Well....

Yesterday I handed in my research report to Parliament House and also to ANU.
Now I'm working on an Oral Presentation for Friday. It's a big deal and is worth 20% of my mark for the internship. Should be fun..

Last night I played Theatre Sports in the JCR. It was a lot of fun. We did such crazy things as Space-Jump, where people freeze mid-scenario and you use whatever position they are in to create a totally different scene. We also played a game where someone waited outside the room, while the rest of the people divised a scene and had to give clues to the person who would enter about what kind of situation they were in.. I was the person waiting outside once, and when I entered I had to figure out that I was in an escort service with three dominant women who all fancied me for my money but did not fancy the fact that I was covered in warts. Was much fun.

Another scenario was that the person entering the room had to figure out that they were on Jerry Springer and that her mum (played by a man) slept with a fish (played by a man), and that the first time she met her Dad she was really also discovering her Dad was a fish. It was bizarre and very funny...

We also played Puppeteering, where two people sit on chairs, chatting to each other and there's one person behind each of them doing their hand movements. A friend and I had to discuss a Pimple Popping Convention that we had just visited. It was really funny, with the person behind me always scratching my head and pretending to pop pimples on my face. Whatever anyone of us did we just had to go along with it. It was especially funny when I was arguing with her about the decision to pop pimples, saying as soon as you see them on your face you should try to pop them (and the person behind was doing a bang up job of pretending to search my face for pimples and then pop them). My friend, who I was chatting with, disagreed wholeheartedly... was great...

I also introuduced everyone there to something I saw Tripod, or was it the Three Canadians?, do at the Comedy Festival one year. Two people talk, with one person taking the lead. The other person has to copy exactly what they are saying by looking at their mouth. Someone claps and then their roles switch and the other person leads the conversation and can take it on a totally different tack. I think I liked that game the best. Someone clapped when my friend's last word was 'grease'. I managed to flip the script to make her say 'grease is the word, is the word, is the word". Was great...

A big hello to HOOCH, or EUG as I call her, for visiting my site!! See you soon!!
