Thursday, June 19, 2003 Hey all... 2 full time days at APH in a row - pretty cool. Secret meetings. Senate Question Time. Emailling the Norwegian and British Governments. It's all go-go-go. Meanwhile, Fenner's cool as usual. Was trying to find a friend here (didn't know where she lived) and discovered she lived on the "Tribute to Bad TV soap" floor. Pretty much every floor has a theme (one of them is Under The Sea, another is "Grade Two", cos they're on Level 2 etc). Anyway, was a really funny floor with the photos of ALL the characters (and I was going tosay "stars"!!) from Passions, the Bold and the Beautiful at al. Very very cool. Also, I went to a meeting last night about an upcoming Movie Marathon. For about two weeks, there have been these mysterious MM signs ALL over the place and it was very much similar to the Simpsons episode with "gabbo", "Gabbo!", "GABBO!!" Anyway, the MM = Movie Marathon.... Here are the rules: * All competitors must supply one movie * The movie must not be porn * The movie must not exceed 150 minutes * No sleeping while watching the movie. If you are found to be asleep you are out of the competition * 10 minute break between each movie * 1 hour break at meal-times (roughly 7am, noon, 7pm) and possibly midnight snack break. * The last person to remain awake (factoring in the fact that they could've slept during the 10min and 1hr breaks) at the end of the showing of all the movies is declared the winner and wins a DVD voucher. I think it sounds like a WICKED time and I'd like to compete just to see how long I last. The dude organising it said when he particpated in one of these, he lasted 14 hours and the winner went 27 hours. You can watch the movies even if you're not competing, but I think it'd be so much cooler to compete. It's not for a while away (and will actually most likely be around the time when my Report's due), but I wanna know strategies, people.
