Saturday, April 26, 2003 Well well well. What an interesting weekend. Have not had such an interesting and jam-packed weekend since..... ever! It all began when.... nah, scrap that. :) Thursday Evening: Went to the Smith St Bar for a 21st and it was very cool. Really funky little place (mit einem Biergarten!) Live music, Hors d'oeuvres and good company always make for a great night... Met many people that spoke superior German to my own. That's not a feat, but trying to listen/hear someone speaking a foreign language over very loud music is quite difficult. Wrong keywords, picking up the intonation on words that you just know aren't that important and the like.... Friday, Anzac Evening: Made way to Hayley's and Casey's Housewarming and twas a very very very good party. Many BA(IS) people there and was generally really cool. After I went to bed in Hayley's closet (yes, it's true...), or at least tried to at 4:30, Zimon tried to make me return downstairs to the party-action... I wonder what happened after I went to bed? I remember Matt/Zimon were cooking eggs (and was that sour cream with them?) and someone mentioned Lygon St. Seemed the die-hard party-goers went unti sunrise at least. And the bitemark? It's all coming back to me... We tried to go to Danny's for hamburgers but alas, they were shut. None more disappointed than I... oh no wait. Hayley really was. Should mention to both Zimon and Nick ("blog it") that I am going to Canberra in 14 days to do an internship with ANIP, managed by ANU with the Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade at Parliament House. I bought a suit today for that very reason... I'm told I look "suave" and the hilarious sales assistant said, with a thick Italian accent, "move aside Canberra". :) Really have to do some work for that Ministerial Briefing.
