Saturday, April 19, 2003 Happy Easter, everyone! Hopefully you're not all sitting at your computers, feeling bloated eating all those Easter eggs.... A little bit about what I've been up to.... Good Friday: In the morning, I introduced my bro to the wonders of the free practice version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?. Soooooo good. Max can attest to this. He was in Kay House a few days ago and I showed him. How good is it, Maxybon? ANyway, suffice it to say, we did well. Really well. Like as well as you can do. Yep, that's right. The Devine boys are virtual millionaires... Oh, sorry. That was just so punny. I couldn't resist.... A little later, Joel S., Erica, Joel G., Mark and Luke came over for a long, incredibly looooooooooooong, but very fun game of 500! WOW! So much fun. And Joel S., and Mark - I've already told you this, but you didn't win!! That's right, Luke (cos I know you check this, quote un-quote "every two days" ), we're still in with a chance.... Just got to remember those Jacks and the weirdness they do. So anyway, Mark and Joel - You have to actually win a bid you make to take you over the 500 winning mark. Shane told me, that at his uni his mates might get to 700-something but not win because they never actually let them go for a bid that they make.... Evil much? I think it was one of the last...5 or 6 years that I've managed to not watch any of the Good Friday Appeal and/or the annoying concert that inevitably follows. Incredible. Introduced Erica to a program I downloaded some time back called Noteworthy Composer. I know Zimon appreciated its punny title. Anyway, when I first downloaded it a couple of weeks back I was chatting to Zimon on MSN and could not for the life of me get the music out of my head (and fingers) onto the page. I believe Zimon even called me a "frustrated musician" :) So Erica figured it out. I was playing triplets and to me, what sounded like the first not of a bar was actually the last note. And I think it was in 3/4 time. V. V. V HAPPY! Easter Saturday: Worked 10 hours. Yes. That's right. Share my pain. 8:30-6. Crikey. I believe I actually said at one stage of the day "This body wasn't meant to work 10 hours in retail", to which a customer had a perplexed, then altogether happy smile on her face. And yes, Zimon, in diesem Fall, happy is the right adjective. So anyway... worked there. Was kinda fun. Working with good people is always....good? What WAS good was the addition of a table tennis table in the tea room. Yes, that's right kids! sooooo much fun. So of course, people are arranging their tea breaks at the same time, meaning the poor customers are left stranded with no one who is "trained" in their respective areas. And I'm not too sure if it went down well when I mentioned to the Store Manager the notion of "inter-departmental tournaments" and the like.... Go Customer Service! We'd wipe the floor.... or would the Cleaners do that!? *cue comic noises* Oh well... another reason why Kmart is just what you need this Easter In other news, Lauren has a blog. Blogging good news, Lozza! Check it out at http://gouldy.blogspot.com. And Loretta's first actually post... and Max's addiction taking off... Overall it's blogging fun. Oh and also, saw the new Zwan clip for Lyric. It impressed me. At various message boards, I found that you could actually get tickets to attend that clip. That would've been cool. I like the upbeat and harmonic band that is, Zwan. But why was Jimmy playing a guitar? He's the drummer....posted by AJ | 9:33 PM | |
