Saturday, October 30, 2004 Well, it's been a big week... G'day everyone. I haven't blogged in a while, so I'm sorry about that for starts. It was my first week back at work and what a week it was! I was asked to go to full-time, which is really really really really really cool. So first week back = first week of full-time work! It was really fun. I enjoy work. I'm going to have a broad role in my position as well, supporting other areas apart from the area I'm currently located. It will be really exciting and different. Should be ace. It's going to be odd being there on Melbourne Cup Day. I heard that last year when the Big Race was just about to start and everyone was off in another room watching in live on TV, some random international student just wandered in wanting to know some information about their course or something. Didn't they know that it's the Race That Stops The Nation!!?? Hahahahha. One of the highlights this week was the fact that I found a stream code for a course that was called "AJ". Not so pleasant was the fact that it was for the course entitled "Graduate Diploma in Special Education".... Make of that one what you will! ;) Thursday night, Erica and I headed over to Eug's to watch this week's Kath and Kim. It was a brilliant night with friends. Kudos to Erica on a beautiful and extremely thoughtful Sticky Date Pudding - yes, it was so good it deserves capitals!! The night and its slow conversational pace was lovely. We ended up staying there til about 11pm, which was wicked although I was really feeling tired at the end of it. It didn't help that the Sticky Date Pudding was still goo-like whenever we'd go and check it in the oven, but it was all part of the fun! Wouldn't have changed it for the world. The K&K episode was hilarious as always. I especially liked Gina Riley's Director role and how she was "desperate for men". For the play, silly boy... Meryl Streep was hilarious too... I've had a beautiful, relaxing day today of not doing anything. I watched two Stargate epsiodes with Shane, which was a tour de force as always and have just enjoyed the lazy day. Shane was going around the house singing a snippet of that Beatles song that Courtney sang some weeks back - "I've got to get you into my life". It was stuck in my head, until I came on here and played some beautiful music. What do we all think of Chanel exiting the Idol process? It's true what they say though: Chanel No. 5. How funny is that?! Who will win. Comment now! posted by AJ | 4:49 PM | |
