Hey everyone.
How are we all?

I'm going OK, thanks for asking. I have not blogged for quite some time as I haven't been in the best of health and have been quite busy at work. I found out last week that I had a hernia and that meant emergency surgery on Monday night. I'm recovering at home at the moment, trying to avoid watching daytime TV (by watching the previous night's good televsion) and just getting my strength back. It was all a bit rushed, but I'm so glad I'm on the road to recovery and no more pain. I'm doing OK, though. How are YOU doing? hehehe

Last week's return of Kath and Kim was fantastic and it was really nice to go over to Eug's to watch it with a few friends. Am looking forward to wacthing the girls at the races - I can just imagine how messy they're going to get (see paragraph above as to why I haven't seen it yet... LoL)

And what about Ricki-Lee?!!! Admittedly, her Beatles performance wasn't her best, but I really didn't think she's be leaving the competition based on that one performance. I thought Casey would go with her rendition of Eleanor Rigby, but I think she has a large fan base that pulled her through - and what about Chanel!? Why was she in the bottom 3? Her version of Across The Universe was spectacular; really understated and lovely. I guess that's the power of democracy and SMS. (P.S Marty Worrell has to go)

I'm so looking forward to The 80s show. That should be really gnarly or .

Speaking of all things Idol, did anyone see that Andrew G was titled the 2004 Cleo Bachelor of The Year? That's all good and well, but did you see that they kicked out one of the bachelors from the competition simply for admitting he was gay? I've been told that. I don't know who it was who was kicked out, or if that's the full story. I just think it's pretty poor that Cleo, a supposedly hip and understanding magazine, would treat someone like that just for being different. Is it as though gay men are not single? Is that what they're getting at? Or that he wasn't allowed to be in the competition because the target audience (young women) can't pick him up...? Pfft!

Jen arrived back in Australia yesterday, which is fantastic news! I might give her a call today to say g'day, see how she's going and get her to tell me just a snippet of the awesome time she had O/S. I'm sure she's happy to be home, with friends and family.

I don't think much else is new - I'm just kicking back at home so everyone knows where I am ;) Hope everyone's well and I'll see you all sometime soon. (Now I have Eleanor Rigby in my head... I just hope I can remember the words ;) )
