The (Impersonating) Panel

Last night I taped The Panel. Tonight I watched it.
There was a period there for I don't know how long where I watched The Panel every week and loved every minute of it. Last night, I remembered why. I only taped The Panel last night because I wanted to see Missy Higgins' performance on there, which was very good by the way. That song of hers, Scar, is definitely an earworm and gets in my head like you wouldn't believe...

Anyway, it was hilarious, easily as hilarious as I remember it being. The highlight for me was probably the guy who now makes a living out of impersonating celebrities, which started on The Footy Show with his impression of John "Sam" Newman. His newer impersonation of Bruce "Lovely" Macaveny was AWESOME. I was crying in fits of laughter, as was my bro. And I swear he was channelling Dennis Cometti when he was impersonating him. SOOOO FUNNY.

Also, when watching The Panel I couldn't help but thinking that I wasn't watching the real version of the show but rather the Comedy Inc. version (or whatever show it is called) where they take everyone off, using the real hosts idiosyncracies and body language and magnifying them tenfold to elicit fits of laughter from the audience. It was an odd feeling, considering I thought this much before they featured the guest who's job is to impersonate... Hmmm

PS (I've deleted some old pics from my database on here and uploaded some brand spanking new ones, so I hope you enjoy 'em.)
