Firstly, let me say how different this blogger dashboard looks. The blogger dashboard is the page I go to and write my blogs, by the way. There are now all these utilities at my disposal - I can change the colour of the font with the click of a button, upload files with the click of a button, align text to the left, right, centre, or justify it. I guess all these changes are justified, cos people must've wanted to do such things!!
Get it - it's justified! Hahahahaha, I think that's quite funny - regardless if you do or not. JUSTIFIED
Anyway... back to the main topic of this post - Stocktake. On Tuesday, I worked 6:15am-4:15pm counting stock. Surprisingly, it was more fun than it sounds... I did have some painful aisles, including Ladies' Scarves/Belts where every one was different, but did enjoy counting CDs in the R-S fixture that I had (remembering that this fixture included such gems as Radiohead and Smashing Pumpkins! WOOHOO!) Manchester was really really really painful because the device I was using would not scan the barcode through the shrink-wrap. This meant I had to type the keycode in and work out how many there were. Oh, in that aisle one of the shelves fell on me as well.... :( Then yesterday, I was rostered for Stocktake Reports, which means you are allotted a department and you have to make sure the count is correct, even though our records say it's not. Usually human error just means people have counted incorrectly, or have counted 10 of one item, where they are all different... I was allotted Girls Toys. I had never done Stocktake Reports before and it was actually quite fun because I got to walk around the Toys Departments (yes, plural!) as well as the Toy Stockroom, out the back. Banes of my existence include Leap Frog Leap Pad products, because they are scattered everywhere around the Toys areas, as are Bratz. Do you know how many kinds of Bratz there are? WOW. There are Formal Funk Bratz. Funk Out Bratz. Winter Wonderland Bratz. Bratz Pax. Bratz Pax Wave 2. Bratz Boys. Bratz Backpacks. Bratz Limos. If someone had all of this stuff, I'm sure they'd become Bratz too!! What I did find amusing was the really modern, hip names that all of these Bratz had. Sasha, Aiten, Koby, Yasmin... very very funny. Anyway, enough about that... I just read Erica's blog. That is so cool about the Saturday night gig at The Place Formerly Known as Prince, I mean The Keg... Well done, Eggo! Still searching for jobs. Applied for one with SBS last week. I perused their website again today and saw one that did not require any qualifications or experience, but enthusiasm was desirable.. Cool, I thought. That sounds like me! Kept reading and thought - yes, this sounds excellent, I'll definitely apply. The last sentence was "Please note this position is in Sydney" Hahahaha, oh well. I'll keep on trucking. Have a good day, everyone. |
