Shrek 2

Hey, everyone.
I've had a really really good day today. It was just a nice, productive, pleasant, really good day. I liked it.

Took a nice drive home from Sim's along Riversdale Rd, where I marvelled at how the cars seemed to be responding to each other so fluidly and everyone was just going where I wanted them to. I was able to veer my way around cars turning right at intersections, yet still had enough room to turn back in the lane to avoid the cars parked on the side of the road. It was just really cool.

I then completed watching a Star Trek episode before I drove to Erica's to pick her up and we went to Knox to see Shrek 2. The car trip included hearing a new Missy Higgins song, Scar, which will be released on her upcoming EP. :) A ham and cheese croissant and a crepe cake (respectively) later, the hilarity that is Shrek 2 ensued. It was such an awesome movie. I loved it. In particular Puss in Boots, but also thought The Fairy Godmother was deliciously evil and well voiced and animated. Everyone was just so cool, and I know that Erica in particular loved the GIANT gingerbread version, Mongo. :)

Returned a missed call from Dad to discover I have been selected as the Kmart Customer Service Winner for the Year of our store and am going into the running for the Customer Passion Award of all store nominees. Interviews being held at Boronia Kmart on Wednesday...

Saw Dee and Kath at Knox. They seemed well and were on a lunch-break...

Drove home and applied for a German translation job on the Net, while listening to lots of cool music.

Oh - a quick plug and a question:

Erica was telling me about her upcoming gig and how the band she's a member of, Eon Automatic, is planning to have Erica perform three or so songs as an introduction to the band on July 8.

I asked her which songs she was going to play and she either thought 3 originals, or two originals and Time After Time...

Personally, I think the two originals and Time After Time might be better received by the audience. It's always nice hearing delicate versions of songs you know so well + people might be able to sing along with their lighters waving above everyone's heads!!

I believe Building Walls, Time After Time (Lauper) then Warm December would be a fantastic mix of your singing and songwriting skills, Urukhai. Was denkst du?

So my question to you, my blogging readers, - if Erica were to perform original songs, which ones do you think it should be? For more information on Erica's already extensive songography, visit http://jellibabi.blogspot.com and the band website for further details - ie when and where you can see them at their next gig!!!
