Thursday, March 04, 2004 Who puts the funk in Garfunkel? click here Wow. It's been AGES since I last blogged. Apologies, everyone. I must have either been busy or extremely uninspired / not wanting to blog. Let's see - what have I been up to??? Had a beautiful, fantastic day on Sunday. Simon and I went up to Silvan. Did you know there was a reservoir there?! Suffice it to say, I was surprised. Beautiful lunch on a park bench and walk in the forest in the crisp air. Mt Dandenong was also very nice. cool lookout. Then headed into The Espy for Adele's Going Away Party. Yes, it deserves capitals it was THAT important. My brother was so shocked that I had not been to the Espy before and said such cutting remarks as "And you call yourself a Melburnian!?" etc. Anyway, that was perfect. Was so relaxing and sunny, with the conversation flowing nicely and coolly, like the beer on tap I'm sure.... Tuesday, I met Urukhai (aka Erica) at RMIT Caf for a hot choc. Best hot choc there. We should know, we've tried a lot of places ;) Then picked up Simon from work, and we both headed into Lygon St to meet up with Garfunkel, Yoshi, Loretta, Nick B., and Max who is safely back in the land of Oz, following his trip to Mehico. Gelati followed. *drooooool*. I had mint, choc-orange and baci flavours. yummmmmm sat around the park nearby, devouring the gelati, trying to make sure it didn't spill or leave your hands a gelati-mess. If anyone saw this week's Ali G in da USAiii, his ice-cream gloves would've been handy! Get it - handy... hahahahaha :) On Wednesday, Erica and I braved the heat and journeyed out to the black stump of Greensborough. All hail, Savers - the op shopping lover's pilgrimage destination, I'm sure. I bought a singlet and three tops, all for the crazy low low price of $8.96, which means I also scored with the rounding benefit! WOOHOO! Could've spent much longer there, but was very hot and I was tired. So tired, in fact, that I did not head into the city for the JJJ Film Breaks at SMMB. Eug, Jen, Scotty and Dee went, I think. They joined approx 1200 others in the viewing. Would've been awesome, but I was so tired :( Alas. I think I'll attempt to play that difficult track on piano once again. gee, it's hot... peace out. oh and before you go, remember to lend me some sugar, i am your neighbour... that, is of course, word on the street / funk newspeak to mean "comment, i am your friend" posted by AJ | 3:28 PM | |
