Wednesday, December 03, 2003 hey everyone... for some reason my blog is not showing the comments that you may or may not have left. I don't know why this is. If someone can help, please do... !!! I went and saw george perform on Monday night at BMW Edge, Federation Square. The support act was Missy Higgins. It was an excellent concert... I was very impressed with the venue and Missy Higgins! I hope she releases an album very soon... Must get her EP. I remembered her song All For Believin' from JJJ's Unearthed and was really happy to see that she was supporting george in their latest tour - must vote for her song Greed For Your Love in the Net 50 :) Incidentally, I went up to her afterwards to say how much I enjoyed the show. She was suitably embarassed and taken aback. It was such an awesome set of songs and they were all very personal and great! george played a lot of their old stuff, with some new songs from their forthcoming album, Unity. Was quite cool. The highlight for me would've been the acoustic set in the middle of the concert. They played some choice tracks, including a very reggae-d up version of Sellout, which was cool. They also played a a couple of rare b-sides that I feel many people in the audience would've known, which was good for me! hahaha When Release was played, Katie requested people to get up and boogie at the front of the seating, much to the chagrin of the people in the first row, I feel. It was cool that there was such an awesome vibe for a Monday night in the venue though! It really was rocking out! Today, I went with Joel to collect my gown, tickets &c. for Graduation. Also got Grad photo taken. Was surprisingly painless and well organised. Well done RMIT. For those in the BA(IS) that don't know, we wear magenta on our stole. Joel thought this to be very funny.
