Sunday, September 07, 2003 Hello ya'll. How are we? I'm OK... Have been busy it seems. Tuesday night's Futurama was very funny. Star Trek meets Futurama. Can't fail... Spoke to Mel for a good while on Wednesday at Druids, discussing and comparing internship experiences. It was really good. Sounds like we both learnt a lot from our time... I worked all day at Kmart on Thursday which was... interesting. 8-6. Ouch. I then went to Barbukka on Smith St for a 21st and it was really cool. The theme of the party was "dress as who/what you don't wanna be in 10 years time". I wore my Kmart uniform. At the party, there was a group of anglo-saxon looking people playing African drums. It was really cool. There were all decked out in African-looking robes and it was generally cool. Speeches were also cool, with Andre's mother writing an excellent and mysterious story about coming of age and entering manhood. It was very cool.... Friday... Friday... what happened on Friday... I had to work in the evening, I remember that. I think I must've been doing reciprocity stuff with Zimon over MSN on this day.... Saturday, had a sleep in (oh yeah!) before working at the Kmart and Kim's 21st in Kilsyth. Many drunk people. I'll say it again, it seems like there's this weird Dawson's Creek like 'thing' that is exerting its force on everyone around me. The incestuousness and relationship swapping is all a little bizarre... Maybe I'm just not cool enough to get it? ********* From Monique, 24 March 2003, in response to Simon's 'train' blog...: It's been a while coming but this was interesting. Wir trinken in den Zug - we drink on the train. Wir trinken auf den Zug - we drink on top of the train (as in train surfing. Wir trinken auf dem Zug - we drink to the train (as in a toast). Those last two with the case difference could be the other way round, but I think it's right. Ah.. what a difference a case makes. posted by AJ | 5:02 PM | |
