Tuesday, August 19, 2003 WOOHOO!! hello kiddies. last entry i opened with the very Spencer introduction of HELLLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. And guess what!? Today I saw her!!! WOOHOO!! Lucy (Spencer, for those that don't know..) looked very well. Deutschland seemed to treat her well (as one would expect...) :) Had an excellent day today, actually.... It started in Kaye House where I successfully printed out my 21st invites!! Then saw the delightful Shazza and we discussed the brilliant late night tv-viewing that occurs tonight - The Amazing Race then Futurama (Amazing Race is also on TOMORROW night!! WOOHOO!). I then had two hours of German grammar. (yes, I like German grammar - I'm a freak, I know). 'Twas 'Indirekete Rede (indirect speech)' - newspaperspeak, not to be consfused with newspeak, where you say 'Mr. Blah blah said that he was going to go to work', not 'Mr Blah Blah said: "I am going to go to work"'. Ein stylistischer Unterschied.... After that, met with Paulistano and found out I could get credit for "My Island Home" (the report I prepared in Canberra) for my Field Study! WOOHOO!! That means only have to write a 3,000 internship report about what I did in Canberra and do German then I've finished! WOOHOO!! Thereafter I proceeded to Minotaur and purchased issue #14 of the Futurama comics. WOOHOO! Bumped into Adele (friend thru German) and caught tram back to Unimelb where I practiced for my 'mmm...lecker' (mmm...delicious) German presentation. Back to Kaye House where there was a mini-reunion... Saw Lucy at this time. Was very happy. Also saw Casey, Nick W. and Ziver (briefly) who I had not seen since I left for Canberra. Very very cool. I love Kaye House for that very reason.... It rocks. The computers don't. The reunions do... Back to unimelb where I had my German presentation. I was Bert Newton and we had Nigella from Brunswick (Nigella Bites) making quacamole. MOLEY MOLEY MOLEY!! hahahaha. Presentation went well. I enjoyed it immensely (Luke and Will - that was for you!) Gave out crackers and avacado dip for students/tutors to eat. Was fun... Hopefully bribery goes far... :) Now home and downloading tracks for best friend's 21st on Saturday night.... eating corn chips and drinking coke. Wow - what a great day!! Now have to be creative with 21st invites, before kicking back and watching Amazing Race and Futurama..... :D posted by AJ | 7:06 PM | |
