Friday, August 08, 2003 Well... the time has (almost) come to leave Canberra, and Fenner, and to return to Melbourne! I can't believe how fast it's gone!! This last week has dragged a little bit, due to the feeling that I'm neither here nor there, by trying to place myself back in Melbourne after three months... Ahh, the random times at Fenner... To me, now, when anyone mentions Canberra I'll think of Fenner and such things as: - Procrastination Slice - Late-Night Special Shopping (Crouching Shopper Hidden Bargain) - Southpac (might be better to forget that one) - In-Blue, ICBM and Mortis (all clubs) - The Movie Marathon we had (18 hours baby, and I won!!!) and also those quizzes in between the movies. - Elizabeth's magnificent chocolate cake that kept us all awake - Sharing jiaozis with Dayna - Cooking mexican chicken lasagne with Dayna - that night when Nicole, Jim, Elizabeth and I cooked up a storm and gorged ourselves - eating those funky Dutch pancakes with the sultanas and bacon inside with Megan, Cheree, Hayden and Dirk - having a spontaneous cocktail night in the SCR - getting very very drunk on several occasions (actually the biggest nights were back-to-back!(Farewell drinks with interns 1st Aug, then going away party 2nd Aug) - Goodberry's with the frozen custard - watching the Ozspell spelling championships with Nicole and saying a word and then spelling S-P-E-L-L-I-N-G it for a week or so.... - Coffee and Cake (I think I missed ONE out of the whole time I was here and that was due to Trivia Night...) - Random late-night/early morning convesations stemming from Coffee and Cake... - looking after Elizabeth's plants and "killing" her fish, Fysh... - Murder!! (3rd baby, oh yeah!) - The Wake BBQ - Eagle Rock! (perhaps not such a good thing, but something nonetheless) - introducing several people to Cryptic Crosswords - introducing several people, notably Nicole, to "blogging" - The First Year Wedding - Interhall Public Speaking - my first night here - International Food Fest! - Casino Royale Bar Night - the term "Bucket punch" - The Big Brother room, aka New Common Room - the term " - styles" - the fact that I say Malbourne, not Melbourne... - Theatre Sports! - cheering on Fenner at various sporting events - Trivia Night! - Drawing those images up on 9th South before heading to the - Christmas in July Bar-Night - SCR Refurbishment Cocktail Party - High Court Cocktails! - That random Snap/Spit/Shithead tournament in the Lift Foyer of 9th South - meeting some of the most random and brilliant people EVER - How bizarre, how bizarre...
