The One With Layby, the Doors to ER, Maccas, and oh yeah.. the male leads from Party Of Five!

Can you believe it?
There is only 1, ONE!!, more episode of Futurama to go EVER!!! *big fat sad face*

Oh well. It's better to have loved Futurama and lost, than to never loved it at all.

Here's a dream I had quite some time ago... Enjoy
This one's for Nicole:

Dear ALL!
Howdy.
OK, I'll launch right in shall I??

*cue dream music*
OK, this is one of THE most vivid and bizarre dreams I have ever had. When I
woke up I couldn't believe how much of it I had remembered.

I hope I get the sequence of events right, but if not: WHO CARES, right??

I was serving someone in the wonderful Layby Dept at good ol' Kmart Forest
Hill when, lo and behold, who happened to want to put a VCR on Layby!? Yes,
it was Charlie and Bailey from the all-American teen-soap-drama-farce "Party
Of Five". They were both wearing sunglasses, for those flourescent lights
CAN be damaging to one's eyes, but that's another story.
They wanted to layby a VCR. Normal, huh? NO!!! This VCR was wonderous! I
didn't know why, and I still don't, but I **wanted** that VCR!! I don't
think it was the last one, but I just wanted that one! I was delaying their
layby, saying the computer had stuffed up and stuff when Abbey (for those
who don't know... other school cap'n) and Shane came thru the side door. I
completely forgot that I was serving Bailey and Charlie and proceeded to
teach Shane and Abbey how to Layby. They then got frustrated, I heard a
scream and ran out the side door only to be confronted with the "doors to
the E.R.". Do you know the ones?? If you've seen E.R. they have those big,
plastic push-doors that you can run right through. There are similar ones to
the entrance of the stockroom @ Kmart, but we were not in Forest Hill
anymore, Toto. No, sirree! This was Chicago, Illinois.

So I stormed thru the E.R. doors and onto the 'floor' of Kmart, only to find
that it was a fusion of E.R. and Kmart. There were medical beds around the
place, and people in white coats and blue 'ready-to-be-operated-on' gowns...
Yes, gowns.. that's the word I wanted. But there also people 'serving'
customers too!!!

I walked over to Sound and Vision, for I REALLY liked the VCR (to tune of
*really like the vest* from "See My Vest") and by this stage, an extra had
raced up and put my white doctor's coat on. I entered the Dept. and all of a
sudden the fixtures from the Layby Dept. were just sitting in the S/Vision
dept!! And on these shelves were NOT VCRs (much to my dismay) but piles and
piles of Garfield / Tin Tin and Noddy books. I was thumbing through these
for a while when I turned back and saw Dr. Mark Greene leaning down (ultra
ULTRA slow-mo), lit match at the ready, ready to light what looked like a
trail of petrol. He DID light it and the flames danced along the trail, and
through to the 'clock-on' area.

Cut to me driving to a Drive Thru McDonalds area smelling excessive amounts
of petrol, trying to see if Bailey and Charlie were working. They weren't
working at the Drive Thru, like they SHOULD'VE BEEN (I found that weird in
the dream too..... I must equated 'acting' to being a 'check-out chick' or
in their cases 'chaps')

I sat down with them, for now they HAD their VCR with them and were proudly
displaying it to their friends and colleagues. I approaced them with my 6
coins of gold (3 2-dollar coins) and they GLADLY accepted 4 dollars of that,
which was strange I thought cos the item you wanted to Layby HAD TO be 20
dollars.... Hmmmmmmm.

Cut back to Layby. I think this scene had already happened (like a "Go"
perspective thing), but I was still me. This time when I heard the scream, I
didn't run onto the E.R / Kamrt floor, but rather through the stockroom and
out to a football field. By this stage I was frantic, and running like I've
never ran before. I reached a small little house-ish place, and went
inside... Only to find that it was Kmart!!! "And the cycle is complete".

I looked back and saw Rhiannon Bruce (girl who works at Kmart) wearing her
uniform getting ready to start her shift, taking over from me, but had some
unfinished business to take care of. I ran back out of the shack and saw
that the football field was now frequented by patrons. They were SCREAMING
and CHANTING (something like this anyway):
"Layby's fares are way too high,
1 dollar 10, we won't pay, we won't pay"
(I can't even rhyme in my dreams!!) =^)

So I HAD TO go 'back' to the 'non-Rhiannon-Layby-place' (the first one) and
change all signage and envelopes that displayed the 1 dollar, 10 cent
service fee. I did this REALLY quickly and raced back to the
Rhiannon-Layby-place (the shack), with the fervent chanters ever present on
the way there. Just as I reached the shack and opened the door, the dream
cut to Bailey standing as a silhouette on a waterfall. The colours went all
surreal and the waters were deep greys and blues on a backdrop of black.
Time stopped, or at least slowed considerably with the once fast-flowing
water now merely a trickle and for a moment, I 'understood'.

Understood what, you ask?

Even *I* don't know.
Stay tuned.
