Monday, June 16, 2003 Hello all... Thought I'd come on here in my study-break and rev myself up for more study. Been studying Dutch and Contrastive Linguistics ALLLLLL day. If anyone knows what Linguistic Determinism and/or Linguistic Relativism are before 9:15am 17/06/03 pls sms me or something. Really don't wanna have to read that giant German document in my room that's waiting for me *sigh* Lucie, sounds like you had a great time at the BBQ. Sorry I missed you too!! Oh well.... Those little catches of info were really great. I love it when everything goes silent and someone says something strange like HB did. hahahahahaha. GOLD! Zimon, I will forever think of Rutti saying "Isn't that weird??" whenever the Dutch or the Netherlands comes into my brain. Isn't that weird? Lucie, I have been having some really strange dreams too. Don't know why. Last night in my dream, my whole family (think National Lampoon's European Vacation) were doing some kinda quiz show and it was like a rally-car/treasure-hunt thing. Anyway, it involved all of us being in this tank-like vehicle (maybe it was a tank) and we had to search for something golden. That reminds me of that Jurassic 5 song... hmmmm. Anyway... we were in the tank and we were driving along the old Channel 10 buildings in Nunawading. Somehow, and this is weird, I was in the tank, and I managed to have my foot run-over. It hurt like you wouldn't believe and my foot went all red and swelled up. A doctor came over and she said they'd have to inject me with botox to make the skin all taut and then they could operate on it or something. What the?! Then she suggested that I have some lollies to take my mind of the pain.. Then I woke up... You see, the last part of the dream is actually not that far from my childhood. When I was little I used to HATE having my toe-nails cut. ABSOLUTELY HATE it. Mum would bribe me with Minties and other lollies so I would let her cut them. Even now when I cut my nails, I really wish I didn't have to, but I know I do. Something about touching feet I've never liked. I don't think I should be a podiatrist.
