Yes, Simon.
03.03.03 very cool. huh?

Well today I had my first class at the University of Melbourne. The subject I had today is called "Languages in Contact: Constrastive Linguistics between German and English". Fascinating stuff. The seminar was all in German which was very cool. I think immersion is totally the best way to learn a language.

My lecturer brought my attention to a very interesting fact in English today.
2+2=4. It's correct mathematically, is it not?
Grammatically, however, when one reads that sentence, it is not so "correct".
Two plus two equals four.

'One plus one equals two', but doesn't 'two plus two equal four'? The 'two' in question is of course plural (ie more than one) so shouldn't that be reflected in the conjugation of the verb?

Make sure everyone watches Futurama tonight....
And one more thing.

A preposition is a very bad thing to start a sentence with.
