Certainly seven people die horrific deaths all around the world in equally horrific manners. To learn that Simon's soccer was interrupted (heaven forbid) to learn of the tragic news is regrettable, and yes perhaps their deaths were in a more "expensive" fashion than many others' around the world. That mission, however, meant a great deal, I believe, to future space shuttle launches. As China prepares to become the third nation state to enter a human into space later in the year, I am sure this tragedy will be felt in years to come.

All I'm saying is I hope it never happens again. To anyone, aboard any nation's launch. And think of the Australian students and others around the world who were hoping the "spidernauts" would return data about spinning their webs in zero-gravity.
