Monday, February 10, 2003 G'day. What an awesome weekend. Went to St Kilda festival with a great group of friends and managed NOT to get sunburnt! YES! I think I was the most pleased about this little detail.... Where to begin.. where to begin. Well, the St Kilda festival ROCKED, I have to say. It was the first time I had been and I enjoyed it immensely. Saw a few people - bumped into Bec(c) Galdies but couldn't chat as she could not lose the person she was trailing.... Downsyde (spelling?), The Cat Empire and Motorace all rocked. Danced up quite a storm. Not that there was really room TO dance up a storm, but I think we managed just fine. And Kate Cerebrano's performance with The Cat Empire was über-groovy. I feel that her "mad rhymes" weren't so mad, and were in fact... how shall I say.... rehearsed. Cool though. Witty. Smooth. Was too chicken to go on the Top Gun. "Riders, riders, riders, riders", said the overly annoying Top Gun announcer, who loved the sound of his own voice, "up we go, for some HANGTIME! Pull it in, push it out riders. Riders, riders, riders, riders." Awesome. Thought I'd bump into more people. But 300,000 people IS a large number. Oh, and the answer to the cryptic crossword that I couldn't get was NOSEGAY. Question: Goes to any lengths to find the right flower (7) Answer: NOSEGAY. I had that scrawled on a piece of paper, too. I was attempting to come up with every possible permutation with the letters that I had that actually made sense. I discarded that one, however, on the (incorrect) assumption that nothing on this green Earth would be caled nosegay. I was... as I said... incorrect. posted by AJ | 2:50 PM | | ||
