Tuesday, January 14, 2003 Yallo! KERI has made a Blog! Blogblogblog!!! Click her shiny metal link here I saw two Audio Commentaries of Futurama last night. Thoroughly entertaining... and if anyone is wondering whether Bender's voice/laugh and John Dimaggio's voice/laugh (who provides the voice of Bender..) are anything alike, THEY ARE EXACTLY THE SAME!!! It's eerie! Now I don't know if anyone out there has seen any audio commentaries on DVDs before... I have seen some on some Buffy DVDs and it's great to see how the makers of the show respond to the gags that they themselves have created.. It's like Dandenong's Creek* all over again! *Dandenong's Creek - parody of Dawson's Creek. In Year 11, a group of us made a short film and entered in the First Annual Film Festival at high school. There were no other entrants. We won. We lost. We tied. We didn't 'win' anything. In fact that was the ONLY Annual Film Festival... not so annual then, eh? It consisted of me writing the script, shooting the entire thing at my house in one day and resulting in a poorly edited, poorly filmed, BRILLIANTLY written and acted (hahaha) parody of Dawson's Creek. Cast members: -Dandenong Leery (Dawson) -Chloe Potter (Joey) -Pasty Witter (Pacey) -Jan Lindley (Jen) -Mandy McPhee (Andie) (A big hi goes out to all my Dandenong Creek co-"stars" - I use the term VERY loosely). It was so popular in fact that we made a sequel... more later perhaps! Good times, good times... Incidentally, two members of the Futurama staff have PhDs in Mathematics.
