Sunday, January 12, 2003 Chatted to Hayley today on MSN. She is in northern India as part of a study/work/NGO (?) program there. Tomorrow she is going to the Taj Mahal. What an amacing place. Would like to go there sometime. Contrary to popular belief, people DO actually read my blog entries. Simon said he does as does Matt. Matt is in Malaysia at the moment, on a study tour there. Matt, like myself, was part of a group who travelled to China from Dec 2001 to Feb 2002 for a Study tour of Nanjing. VERY cool place. Really love to go back there... All this talk of different countries and having just read Simon's thoroughly entertaining diatribe about Fisk's article vis-a-vis (a definite SASH word) the major geo-political situations in the world today. Incidentally the capital of North Korea is Pyongyang and the geodesic dome was patented by Buckminster Fuller. (Here's one for the serious ones out there...) SEE ALSO Bucky-balls aka Fullerenes. WICKED STUFF... That little digression came from a three and a half hour long game of Trivial Pursuit with my brother, Shane, today. He was kicking my ass with 5 pieces of pie while I was on 3. I made a strong comeback and we both had 6 pieces of pie, struggling to get to the middle. Now I'm not sure if these are the legitimate rules of Trivial Pursuit (we were playing the Genus IV version), but we make the person who has successfuly won 6 pieces of pie get to the middle and then they have to answer a question on the card CHOSEN by the opposition. This of course makes for interesting gameplay, in that it is not only a struggle as to whether the answerer will correctly answer the queestion, but it also a factor as to whether the questioner really KNOWS the weakpoints of his/her opposition. Case in point: I KNEW by brother would not know that the I,Ching was a book about the 64 Chinese prophetic hexagrams.... SEE - told you... hehehe. Ummmm, I think that's all.
