Sunday, January 19, 2003 Alas. I didn't complete the crosswords. Too hard. Oh well they are good practice and now I can go on to this week's ones. I heard a very funny radio program on JJJ today - it was called Fictionary. People submit words that do not yet exist and give meanings to them. Some examples were: "new-pid". (stupid, but only because he is new) Example: Don't you hate it when you go to a service station and the guy behind the till looks very inept, quite young, has probably been working there for a day and generally has no idea how to operate anything. He is "new-pid". "jerry" (general weirdness between two or more people, which could descend into ugly scenes that mirror those seen on "Jerry Springer") Example: Guy suspects best friend is cheating with guy's girlfriend. He confronts the best friend, simply stating :'hey mate, you and my girlfriend don't have any "jerry" do you?' On a completely un-related note, The Simpsons has been contracted until 2005 for a record 16 seasons. Thanks to Simon for this.
